Configuring password policies

About this task

WebLM Release 10.1.2 supports the following password policies:

  • Password history policy

  • Password strength policy

You can enable or disable both the password policies (history or strength) or can enable or disable one of the password policy independently.

On the fresh deployment of WebLM Release 10.1.2, the WebLM password policy is disabled.

A user with the system administrator role can edit the password settings.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the WebLM web console with administrator privilege credentials.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Password Policy.

    WebLM displays the Password Policy page.

  3. To enable the password history policy, select the History check box and enter the required details.
  4. To enable the password strength policy, select the Strength check box and enter the required details.
  5. Click Submit.
