To enforce the check for the previously used passwords, select the check box.

If you clear the check box, the password policy to check for the previously used passwords is not applicable.

The number of latest passwords that the system maintains in history.

When the history policy is enabled, the default value to block the number of previously used password is 10.

The valid range to block the number of previously used passwords is from 0 to 24.

The option to enable or disable the password strength. By default, the password strength is disabled.

To enforce the password strength, select the check box.

If you clear the check box, the password strength is not applicable.

The minimum number of characters to use in the password. The minimum password length can be between 6 to 25 characters.

The default value is 14.

The minimum number of lowercase characters to use in the password. The default value is 0.

The minimum number of uppercase characters to use in the password. The default value is 0.

The minimum number of numeric characters to use in the password. The default value is 0.

The minimum number of special characters to use in the password. The default value is 0.

The maximum number of repeated consecutive characters. The valid values are from 1 through 5. The default value is 2.

For example, if the maximum repeated consecutive characters value is set to 2:

• Valid password is: Buildd123$

• Invalid password is: Builddd123$

The maximum number of consecutive characters from the same character type. The valid values are from 1 through 5. The default value is 4.

For example, if the maximum repeated consecutive characters of the same character type is set to 4:

• Valid password is: Build123$

• Invalid password is: Build12345$

Cancels the changes and returns to the previous page.
