Enabling WebLM client certificate authentication

About this task

From 10.1.3.3 onwards, the WebLM client certificate authentication configuration is ON by default and you need to setup WebLM client certificate for communication with WebLM server for licensing to work. You must disable client certificate authentication if you do not require it (WebLM client certificate for communication). You can re-enable it once the WebLM client certificate for communication is configured.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the WebLM command-line interface with CLI user credentials that you create during application deployment.
  2. Type the setWebLMClientAuth command and press Enter.
  3. In the Enter any other key to exit prompt, type 2.
  4. In the Are the clients configured with identity certificate? (Y/N) prompt, type Y.
    Note:

    If you type N, WebLM exits the setWebLMClientAuth command.

  5. In the Are signed client CA certificates have been added to this WebLM server trustore?(Y/N) prompt, type Y.

    WebLM enables client certificate authentication and displays the following message:

    WebLM client authentication enabled successfully.

    WebLM server restarts, and the WebLM web console will be inaccessible for approximately 2 to 5 minutes.
