Supported servers

You can install Communication Manager using the following Open Virtualization Appliance (OVA) files:

  • SimplexFor a single Communication Manager server, use the simplex OVA file.

  • DuplexFor a standby Communication Manager server, use the duplex OVA file. The standby server becomes active if the main Communication Manager server fails. For the duplex OVA, install each Communication Manager server on a different host.

The following table provides information about the Communication Manager servers that are compatible with each OVA file:

Note:

If you have an S8300 server configured in embedded CM main, survivable remote, or embedded survivable remote configurations, migrate to Avaya Solutions Platform S8300.

Avaya Solutions Platform 130 Appliance Release 5.x and Avaya Solutions Platform S8300 Release 5.1 support only ESXi 7.0. Avaya Solutions Platform Release 6.x supports ESXi 8.0.
Note:

Avaya-provided environments (ASP 130/S8300) only support Avaya-provided updates. Do not update directly from the Dell or VMware website. Updating directly results in an unsupported configuration.
