The following aspects of analog phone support are locale specific.

Ring Current Frequency

The frequency of ring current.

Minimum Flash Hook Time

The maximum and minimum times for a break in the analog loop current to be treated by the IP Office as a hook flash/timed break recall signal.

  • Minimum time: Anything shorter is ignored as a glitch.

  • Maximum time: Anything longer is regarded as clearing (ending) the call.

If the specific analog phone does not match the locale settings, the settings of the IP Office analog extension port can be adjusted using the Extension > Analog > Flash Hook Pulse Widthsettings.

Maximum Flash Hook Time

Default Caller Display Type

The type of caller display used when Extension > Extension > Caller Display Type is set to On. Otherwise, the specific method set for Extension > Extension > Caller Display Type is used.

Default MWI Type

The type of message waiting indication used when Extension > Analog > Message Waiting Indication Type is set to On. Otherwise, the specific method set for Extension > Analog > Message Waiting Indication Type is used.

Note that the default setting and other settings available may also be dependent on the IP Office equipment providing the analog port.
