Out of Band Management in Avaya Breeze® platform

Last Updated : Oct 29, 2026 |
Prolog information
Avaya Breeze® platform always has two IP addresses that reside on the same or different IP networks depending on the Out of Band Management network.
The IP addresses for the security and management interface must be on:
  • Same IP network if Out of Band Management is disabled.
  • Different IP networks if Out of Band Management is enabled.
The Public network corresponds to the Security Module network. For example, bridge0 and is used for in-band management.
The OOBM (Out-of-Band Management) network maps to the Management network. If a dedicated OOBM bridge is available, the OOBM interface should be connected to that bridge. If no dedicated OOBM bridge exists, the OOBM interface may share the same physical network interface as the Public network. For detailed OOBM behavior and configuration options, see Chapter 8: Securing Network Configuration (OOBM) in Installing the Avaya Solutions Platform 130 Series at https://support.avaya.com/css/public/documents/101091802.
