You must verify the System Manager version and corresponding EM/JDK compatibility before starting an Element Manager installation.

Installing a JDK 11-based EM on an unsupported System Manager version may leave the System Manager system in an unusable state, for example, the System Manager URL may become inaccessible.

Installing a JDK 8-based Element Manager later does not provide a recovery path once an unsupported JDK 11-based Element Manager installation has occurred.

Verify the System Manager version and Element Manager/JDK compatibility before installation and take the System Manager snapshot or backup before installing Element Manager.
