Running the upgradeSolution script for System Manager

Prolog information
You only need to run this script is deploying or upgrading with Avaya Breeze® platform with System Manager Release 8.0.1.2. You do not need to run it you are using System Manager Release 8.1.3 or 10.1. See Avaya Breeze platform compatibility.
You must run the upgradeSolution script before you can access the Avaya Breeze® platform Release 3.8 or higher Element Manager. After performing this procedure, you can deploy or upgrade to Avaya Breeze® platform Release 3.8.1 or later.
Before you begin
Download the latest System Manager hot fix from https://support.avaya.com. This applies for all System Manager releases.
  1. Log in to System Manager and run the cd /swlibrary command to go to the software directory library.
  2. Run the df -h /swlibrary command to ensure adequate space is available.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You need approximately 600 MB of space.
    The following is an example of the command output:
    cust >df -h /swlibrary
    Filesystem      Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/sdd         21G  7.6G   14G  37% /swlibrary
  3. Create a new directory and navigate to that directory.
  4. Download BreezeEMInstall-<version>.zip from https://support.avaya.com and transfer it to the directory you created in the previous step.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You can use a tool, such as WinSCP, to transfer the zip file to the directory.
  5. On System Manager, run the upgradeSolution <path to installation zip>/BreezeEMInstall-<version>.zip command.
  6. When prompted, accept the license agreement.
    STEP RESULT:
    The installation of Element Manager runs in the background. The installation process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
  7. Use /var/log/Avaya/breeze-em-upgrade.log to monitor the progress of the installation process.
