Some UI items, such as the items in a navigation pane, have a plus (+) or minus (-) sign next to them. You click the plus sign to expand or open a folder or other object. You click the minus sign to collapse or close a folder or other object that is already expanded.
Examples
When you expand System Parameters, the navigation pane displays a list of system parameter options.
When you collapse Extensions, the list of extensions is hidden.
In the navigation pane, expand the SystemMemory folders.
Click the item that you want to expand or collapse.
