If the units of measure differ within a column, place the units of measure or the abbreviations of the units of measure in each cell. For an example, see the Default value column in the following table.

If the unit of measure is the same for all entries in the column, make the unit of measure part of the column heading. Enclose the unit of measure or the abbreviation of the unit of measure in parentheses. Do not repeat the unit of measure within the individual cells in that column. For an example, see the Frequency (Hz) column in the following table.
