Max context size
|
Recommend 64kb max
|
500kb is the largest data size to which Context Store has been tested and this size of data is not recommended for regular traffic.
Context Store data grid stores all contexts in-memory. Therefore, having control over the maximum amount of memory per context allows system administrators to properly size Context Store environment and prevent clients from over-utilizing memory.
Note:
The standard context size used for deployment and testing is 2kb.

Max Contexts
|
variable, dependent on system resources
|
The maximum contexts limit is dependent on the memory resources available in Context Store. Within the confines of the system's resources, the maximum number of contexts possible is directly related to the lease time and the context size.
Context Store has been engineered to support 1,240 requests per second, writing 2kb context entries with 2 hour lease, on a full spec lab as per the defined system requirements. This equates to just under 9 million context entries (2kb each) stored in memory at any given time (just under 17GB of context data).
If the size or lease increases, the maximum number that can be stored in will obviously be reduced.

Note that a group GET operation returns the contextIds and metadata associated with the specified group and not the data itself.

A ContextStoreRest instance will be throttled if the CS Threshold: Instance High Requests per Second limit is breached.
