Use this procedure to change the boot mode for Dell power edge servers. You may have to change the boot order if you want to boot from a USB key or an optical drive. The following instructions may vary if you have selected BIOS for Boot Mode.
All hardware platforms supports UEFI based boot mechanism. You must update all the hardware instructions to use UEFI boot mechanism.
  1. On the System Setup Main Menu screen, navigate to System BIOSBoot SettingsUEFI/BIOS Boot SettingsUEFI/BIOS Boot Sequence.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The system displays Boot Option Settings page.
  2. Navigate to Boot Option SettingsBIOSBoot Sequence.
  3. Click Exit, and then click Yes to save the settings.
