Preparing a USB device on Windows using .iso file

Prolog information
Before you begin
    • Ensure that the USB Flash drive has a minimum storage capacity of16 GB.
    • Download and set up a disk imaging utility such as Rufus Media Writer.
    • Download the .iso file as described in Software to download.
  1. Plug in the USB device on the Windows system.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    If you get an error indicating that the system is in use, format the USB device.
  2. Download and set up a disk imaging utility such as Rufus Media Writer.
  3. Copy the Avaya SBC USB image file to the Windows system.
  4. Open Rufus Media Writer.
  5. Click Select.
  6. Browse to locate the downloaded ISO image, and click Open.
  7. Click Start.
  8. When prompted, click OK.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The Status field displays Ready to indicate that the ISO files are copied.
  9. In the File explorer, right-click the newly created USB jump drive and click Eject.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The Jump drive can now be safely removed from the system and used for software installation.
