Setting up serial console to access Dell VEP1425N

Before you begin
Ensure that you install the USB serial driver on your computer.
  1. Use a micro USB to USB type A cable to establish a connection between the Dell VEP1425N micro USB console port and your computer.
  2. Remove the plate on the left rear of the unit to access the micro USB connector if required.
  3. Open a PuTTY session and do the following:
    1. In the Connection type field, select Serial.
    2. In the Serial field, enter the connection name.
    3. In the Speed field, enter 115200 as the baud rate.
    4. Click Open.
