The following table lists the icons used in Avaya J139 IP Phone:

Mute icon

Microphone is muted.

The missed call icon is a right-facing handset with the letter X to its right.

Missed call on your phone. You can see the Missed Call icon in the Recents application.



Missed call reason icon is a right-facing handset with a side-facing arrow pointing away from the handset.

Missed call reason on your phone. Under Recents you can view the call details. For the missed call you can view the additional text missed call reason.

The Incoming Call icon is a right-facing handset with a down-facing arrow pointing towards the headset.

Incoming call indicates you have answered this call. You can see the Incoming Call icon in the Recents application.

The Call History outgoing icon is a right-facing handset with a up-facing arrow pointing away from the handset.

Outgoing call indicates you have made this call. You can see the Outgoing Call icon in the Recents application.

Bridged call

The Bridged Call icon indicates the line is used for a call on another phone.

The ringing icon is bell shaped with a down-facing arrow pointing inside.

Incoming call is alerting.

The ringback icon is bell shaped with an up facing arrow pointing away.

Outgoing call indicates you have made this call.

The active icon is a right-facing handset.

Call is active.

The Hold icon is an upward-facing handset with a bar underneath it.

Call is on hold.

Call is on hold during conference call setup.

The Active Conference icon is two right-facing handsets.

Conference is active.

The Conference Hold icon is two upward-facing handsets with a bar underneath.

Conference is on hold.

Navigation arrow icons are right- or left-facing triangular arrowheads.

Use the Right or Left navigation arrow to see more pages / screens / options.

The Scroll Left icon is a left-facing arrowhead.

Scroll left for more options.

The Scroll Right icon is a right-facing arrowhead.

Scroll right for more options.

The Failover icon is a solid, upward-facing triangle with a reverse-image exclamation mark inside.

Indicates that the phone is not connected to the Session Manager and is operating in Failover mode. Some features might not be available or work incorrectly.

If the appearance line displays this icon, it indicates that the phone has encountered a failure and has preserved the media session until the near user hangs up.

This icon can also indicate that the phone is connected to the call server but the features are not available.

Do not disturb

The Do not disturb feature is on.

Send All Calls

The Send All Calls feature is on.

The call forward icon is a right-facing handset and an arrow.

The Call forward feature is on.

The Wideband Codec icon is a gray solid rectangle with the letters H and D in the centre.

Indicates that the call is using a wideband codec for excellent voice quality.

The Low Local Network Quality icon is an orange solid rectangle with a white triangle in the center that is half solid.

Indicates a low network performance or presence of local network issues that might result in lower call quality.

The SLA Monitoring control icon is a red solid rectangle with the letters C, T, R, and L in the centre.

Indicates that the SLA Mon™ agent has taken control of the phone.

The SLA Monitoring recording icon is a red solid rectangle with the letters R, E, and C in the centre.

Indicates that the call is being recorded for SLA Mon™.

The secure icon is a padlock.

Indicates that the audio of this call is secure.

The ringer tone is off.

Indicates that the audio alert for incoming calls is off.

The number of missed calls are 9.

Indicates that you have missed a call. The number in the icon indicates the number of missed calls.

The number of missed calls are more than 9.

Indicates that you have missed a call. The plus sign (+) in the icon indicates that the number of missed calls are more than 9.
