Syncing contacts

About this task

Use this procedure to sync contacts in your mobile device with your Amazon account. When you sync your contacts with your Amazon account, you can use Avaya Alexa to call these contacts in your account.

Before you begin

Enable communication for your Amazon account.

Procedure

  1. Open the Amazon Alexa application on your mobile device.
  2. At the bottom menu bar, tap More and then tap Communicate.
  3. At the top right corner, tap the Contacts icon (Contacts).
  4. When prompted, allow the Amazon Alexa application to have access to your mobile device's contacts.

    Your contacts are synced with your Amazon account. When you log on to Avaya Alexa using this account, you can use voice command on Avaya Vantage™ to make calls to these contacts in your Amazon account.

  5. Optional If you do not get the prompt, do the following to sync your device contacts with the Amazon account:
    1. On the Contacts screen, tap the More menu (More options menu) and then turn on the Import Contacts toggle button.
    2. Tap Yes to allow the application to access the device contacts.
