Turning the wake word on or off
About this task
Use this procedure to enable or disable Avaya Alexa activation through the wake word from the application settings.
Tip:
You can also turn the wake word on or off by swiping down from the top of the screen and then tapping the Hands-Free Off (
) or Hands-Free On (
) option, respectively.
Procedure
- Open the Avaya Alexa application.
- At the top right corner, tap
. - Tap .
- Do one of the following:
To disable the activation of Avaya Alexa through the wake word, tap Turn off the Wake Word.
When the wake word is off, you can activate Avaya Alexa by swiping down from the top bar and then tapping Alexa Tap to Talk (
).To activate Avaya Alexa through voice, tap Alexa.
