Setup and activation

Your administrator can make Avaya Alexa available on your Avaya Vantage™ device. You can also enable Avaya Alexa using the welcome wizard during the initial device setup or through the device Settings menu. By default, you might not see the option to enable or disable Avaya Alexa. If Avaya Alexa and the option to install it are both unavailable, contact your administrator to configure the required settings on your Avaya Vantage™ device.

Currently, the Avaya Vantage™ device supports the Avaya Alexa application in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

After the Avaya Alexa application is available on your Avaya Vantage™ device, you must complete some initial setups before you can start to use Alexa features. Follow the instructions in the subsequent sections in the order of appearance.

For some settings, you can use the Avaya Alexa application on your Avaya Vantage™ device. However, for advanced settings, you must use the Amazon Alexa mobile application on your Android phone or iPhone.

Prerequisites

Ensure the following:

  • The Avaya Alexa application is available on the Avaya Vantage™ device.

  • You have an Amazon account.

    You must use the same Amazon account to log in to the Amazon website, the Avaya Alexa application, and the Amazon Alexa mobile application.
