Configuring the system for Session Manager and Branch Session Manager deployment

Procedure

  1. Log in to System Manager associated with Session Manager and Branch Session Manager.
  2. Verify System Manager is running the same or later Service Pack level as the Session Manager and Branch Session Manager that you will be installing.
  3. Navigate to the Elements  > Routing  > SIP Entities page and add the Session Manager and Branch Session Manager as a SIP entity.
  4. Navigate to the Elements  > Session Manager  > Session Manager Administration page and add a Session Manager or Branch Session Manager instance.

    For Session Manager, select Core Session Manager.

    For Branch Session Manager, select Branch Session Manager.

  5. Navigate to the Services  > Security  > Certificates  > Enrollment Password page and type an Enrollment Password.
    Note:

    Password must be alphanumeric and 6 to 25 characters long. Make note of the password for future reference.

  6. Define FQDNs for both System Manager and Session Manager and Branch Session Manager. You can either configure the FQDNs in the referenced DNS servers or add the FQDN of Session Manager and Branch Session Manager to the hosts file of System Manager.
