Troubleshooting a Session Manager virtual machine that does not power on

Last Updated : Jun 10, 2026 |

The system displays appropriate messages for CPU or memory resource limitations. The Session Manager might be deployed on a host that does not have the necessary resources allocated for power up. A power up failure indicates the newly deployed OVA must be resized or resources are being oversubscribed. The recommendation is to not oversubscribe resources.

Default CPU and memory reservations are built into the Session Manager OVA. The reservations are set to match the desired configuration and based on the footprint. If the system does not have sufficient resources to support a given footprint of Session Manager, select one of the following:

  • A smaller footprint — You can support less number of devices, when you select a smaller footprint.

  • A footprint with larger capacity.
