Do not perform any activity on WebLM until the snapshot backup is complete.
To create the snapshot backup, use the vSphere Web client.
Procedure
From the list of virtual machines, right-click the required WebLM virtual machine, and select Snapshot.
Click Take Snapshot.
In the Name and Description fields, enter a name and the description for the snapshot.
Set the following Snapshot options:
Enable Snapshot the virtual machine’s memory.
Enable Quiesce guest file system (Needs VMware Tools installed).
Note:
Quiescing indicates pausing or altering the state of running processes, particularly the processes that might modify the information stored on disk during a backup. Quiescing ensures a consistent and usable backup.
Click OK.
In the Recent Tasks window, ensure that the status of the Create virtual machine snapshot task is Completed.
