Assemble the required tools and software |

3. |
Add the R12 licenses |
For PLDS licensed IP Office systems, the R12 licenses will work on pre-R12 systems.

4. |
Backup the servers |
If upgrading to R11.1.3.x, backup the IP Office servers.
|

5. |
Upgrade to the latest R11.1.3.x service pack |
Upgrade the Linux-based IP Office servers to R11.1.3.x.

6. |
Verify Correct Operation |
After upgrading to R11.1.3.x, verify the operation of all the IP Office services. |

7. |
Backup the servers |
If upgrading to R11.1.3.x, backup the IP Office servers.

8. |
Create a USB upgrade memory key |
Create a USB upgrade memory key using Rufus and the R12.0.x iso file.

9. |
Check the PC boot settings |
Check the PC boots from USB.
|
|
10. |
Upgrade to R12.0 |
Upgrade from R11.1.3.x to R12.0.x using the USB upgrade memory key.

11. |
Verify correct operation |
After upgrading to R11.1.3.x, verify the operation of all the IP Office services. |

12. |
Update any other servers |
If the server is part of an IP Office network, continue with updating the other servers.
