Configure basic information and enable SAML before downloading the metadata file to your computer.

Add users in Salesforce.

Add each SSO user to Salesforce.

As indicated later in this checklist, you will also need to create users for Salesforce SSO in Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud.

Upload the metadata file to Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud.

Add the metadata file from Salesforce to the Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud element inventory.

Add the Salesforce domain name to the Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud allowlist.

Add the Salesforce domain as an allowlisted domain. Ensure that messages coming from Salesforce are not blocked by Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud. This is required to create users.

Create SSO users in Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud.

When creating users, ensure that their login ID matches their Salesforce login ID.
