SSO for Salesforce

Prolog information
Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication scheme that enables users to log in with a single ID to multiple independent software applications. With SSO, agents can log in to Avaya Workspaces for CRM using the same username and password that they use for Salesforce. To enable SSO, create a metadata file in Salesforce and upload it to Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud. In addition, ensure that the domain name that you are using is not blocked by Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud.
To ensure privacy between the identity provider and Salesforce, SSO uses the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) v2 protocol. SAML is an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between parties.
