Context StoreQuery

Last Updated : Apr 08, 2021 |

In Context Store, ContextStoreQuery is an optional snap-in service that you can use to retrieve context data from the External Data Mart (EDM), including data which is no longer available in the in-memory Context Store data grid.

The ContextStoreQuery snap-in provides a REST interface to collect the associated context data from the EDM in JSON format. Using the ContextStoreQuery REST interface, you can generate audit trails or retrieve instances of context data from the context data stored in the associated EDM database.

You must configure the EDM connection attributes to retrieve information from an EDM. Database username, password, database type, TLS version, database host, database port, database name, and persistence type. The system does not function if these attributes are misconfigured, for example if an incorrect password is provided.

You must install the ContextStoreQuery snap-in as an SVAR file. For more information, see For more information, see Installing the optional Context Store services.

The ContextStoreQuery Audit Trail functionality is only available when the Context Store persistence type is set to Audit.

Audit Trails are not used when the persistence type is set to Journey.

Note:

The result set of the ContextStoreQuery snap-in is restricted to a maximum limit of 5,000 entries.
