Configuring space security

Procedure

  1. On the System Manager web console, go to Elements > Avaya Breeze > Cluster Administration.
  2. If you are creating a new secure cluster, click New on the Cluster Administration page.

    For more details on configuring a new cluster, see Configuring a cluster and installing mandatory services.

  3. If you are securing an existing cluster:
    1. Select the check box of the cluster that you want to secure and select the Deny New Service option from the Cluster State drop-down menu.
    2. On the Warning box, click Continue.

      System Manager changes the state of the cluster to Denying.

    3. Select the check box of the cluster that you want to secure again and click Edit.

      System Manager displays the Cluster Editor page.

    4. Scroll down to the Cluster Attributes section, in the Grid password field, enter the unique password.
    5. Select the Use secure grid? check box.
    6. Click Commit.

      System Manager prompts you to ensure that all Avaya Breeze® platform server restarts are complete before placing the cluster into the Accept New Service state.

    7. Click OK.
    8. On the left navigation pane, click Cluster Administration.
    9. Select the check box of the new or the modified cluster.
    10. In Cluster State , select Accept New Service.
    11. In the Accept New Service window, click Continue.

      System Manager displays the status as Accepting in the Servers State column.
