Adding a new Microsoft Azure application

Before you begin
  • You must have a Microsoft Azure account.
  • Avaya Breeze® platform Authorization Service must be installed.
  1. Log in to Microsoft Azure.
  2. Search for Azure Active Directory.
  3. Under Services, click Azure Active Directory.
  4. Under Manage, click Enterprise applications.
  5. Click + New application.
  6. Click Create your own application.
  7. Enter your application name in What's the name of your app?.
  8. Select Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery) and click Create.
  9. Click Assign users and groups.
  10. Click + Add user/group.
  11. Under Users, click None Select.
  12. Search for the user to assign and click Select.
  13. Click Assign to assign the selected user.
  14. Next to Home, click the name of the Microsoft Azure application that you created.

  15. Under Getting Started, click Set up single sign on.
  16. Click SAML.
  17. To download the service provider metadata for the node, use the node URL.

    The node URL is in the following format:
    https://<Asset_FQDN>:9443/services/AuthorizationService/spmetadata
  18. Click Updated metadata file with upload the node spmetadata file.
  19. Under SAML Signing Certificate, next to Federation Metadata XML, click Download and save the XML metadata.
  20. Modify the downloaded federation metadata XML file.
    1. Keep EntityDescriptor and IDPSSODescriptor and remove the other elements (Signature, RoleDescriptor).
    2. Add the following between SingleLogoutService and SingleSignOnService:
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <NameIDFormat>urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:nameid-format:transient</NameIDFormat>
  21. Repeat steps 2 through 20 to add Microsoft Azure applications for other nodes.
  22. Next to Home, click the name of a Microsoft Azure application that you created, and click All applications to list all the Microsoft Azure active directory applications you created.
