Configure SIP station on Communication Manager
  1. Use the SSH client to connect to the Communication Manager System Access Terminal (SAT) interface.
  2. Run change station n where n is the number of the SIP station.
  3. Configure the following:
    • Set IP Video SoftPhone to n.
    • Disable Auto-hold

Configure SIPCC feature buttons
  1. Use the SSH client to connect to the Communication Manager System Access Terminal (SAT) interface.
  2. Run change station n where n is the station number.
  3. On page 4, in the BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS area, add the following buttons:
    • call-appr - By default, three call-appr are configured, you can add or remove call appearances as per the existing on-premise requirement.
    • agnt-login
    • after-call
    • aux-work
    • auto-in or manual-in
    • work code
Note:
The table lists the supported SIPCC feature buttons which can be added in Communication Manager SIPCC station.
The recommended way to add the feature buttons is through Avaya Aura® System Manager. See Converting existing H.323 station in Communication Manager to SIP station.
IP Media configuration on Communication Manager
Prioritizing codecs in Communication Manager -
  1. Use the SSH client to connect to the Communication Manager System Access Terminal (SAT) interface.
  2. Identify the Far-end Network Region assigned to the signaling group.
  3. Identify the ip-codec-set associated with the Far-end Network Region.
  4. Run the change ip-codec-set <codec set number used by the SIP signaling group> command.
  5. On page 1, in the AUDIO CODEC area, verify that your preferred codecs are listed in the following order:
    1. G.711MU
    2. G.711A
    3. G.729
  6. On page 1, ensure that Encrypted SRTCP field is set to Encrypted SRTCP: best-effort.
  7. Ensure that Media Encryption field is set to
    1. 1-srtp-aescm128-hmac80
    2. 2-srtp-aescm128-hmac32
    3. none
Configure Communication Manager System Parameters
  1. Use the SSH client to connect to the Communication Manager System Access Terminal (SAT) interface.
  2. Run change system-parameters features.
  3. Set the value of the SIP Endpoint Managed Transfer as n.
  4. Set the value of the Initial INVITE with SDP for secure calls as y.
  5. On page 4 of the Optional Features screen, set the value of the Media Encryption Over IP as y.
    Note:
    Media Encryption Over IP is on page 5 in Communication Manager versions 10.1.3.1 and 8.1.
Configure Communication Manager Signaling Group
  1. Use the SSH client to connect to the Communication Manager System Access Terminal (SAT) interface.
  2. Run add or change signaling-group n, where n is the signaling group number. The system displays the Signaling Group screen.
  3. On page 1 of the SIGNALING GROUP screen, set the value of the Transport Method as tls.
  4. Set the value of the Enforce SIPS URI for SRTP as y.
  5. In the DTMF Over IP field, set the value as rtp-payload to enable DTMF tones using RFC 2833/RFC 4733.
  6. Set the Initial IP-IP Direct Media field to y.
  7. Set the IP Video field to n.
