Accounts in Application Center Administration are a multi-level hierarchy of locations, departments, and teams. You can extend the account tree by adding more levels to it. The four pre-configured levels are Account, Location, Department, and Team. You can configure the names of each level to meet your solution requirements. You can add a maximum of 10 levels.
An account can have several locations, each of which can have several departments. Each department can have several teams and teams can have a further hierarchy. For example, Account > Locations > Departments > Teams > Team 1. You can assign users to this hierarchy.
Avaya creates your account in Application Center Administration after your Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud order is complete, and the system administrator enables the required channels for the account. Your account contains default roles, such as Account Administrator, Agent, Supervisor, and Reporting roles.
Application Center Administration provides the following features that are specific to an account:
Provides a User Interface (UI) that is persona-based for managing accounts.
Provides a flexible hierarchy for editing your account. Account structures vary between customers, and can vary over time for the same customer. Account holders can define their own account structure, hierarchy, account node levels, names of the nodes, and country codes. Nodes act as visual cues to an account administrator for easier administration of users.
Provides APIs to manage the account structure.
Provide access to users only for the account to which the user belongs. Users are assigned with unique account information to ensure they function within the boundaries of their accounts.
Provides role-based access control (RBAC) for granular control of users. The contact center uses a unique account ID across all APIs, events, and data to prevent unauthorized access to the data of a customer. In addition, users, roles, and permissions for each account are grouped into individual account-specific realms.
Provides security by using the Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud Authentication & Authorization Service (AAS).
