The Avaya Aura® MS appliance contains embedded antivirus engine ClamAV® that is disabled by default. When ClamAV® is enabled, it can detect Trojans, viruses, malware and other malicious threats. An SSH interface is provided to enable and disable daily updates, daily scans, run on demand scans and updates, and to display the results of the last scan.

Avaya appliances are closed systems maintained by Avaya. Avaya manages all software and software updates on appliances. Avaya does not support appliances that have non-Avaya software or software updates installed.

Important:

Antivirus scans, antivirus updates and File System Integrity Tool (FSIT) scans should not be scheduled to run at the same time. These tools should only run during the least busy period to ensure that there is no impact to system services.
