Avaya Solutions Platform (ASP) is a turnkey hardware solution. ASP 120 has gone End of Sale (EoS). You can migrate Avaya Aura® MS 8.0.x or 10.x deployed on ASP 120 to ASP 130. Perform the migration during the maintenance window or non-peak usage time.

The migration procedures set the operational state of the media server to Pending Lock. The purpose of placing the media server in the Pending Lock state is to ensure that the Avaya Aura® MS does not start any new sessions. After all the sessions on the server end, the server can be upgraded without disrupting any user.

When you are ready to migrate the server, the operational state is set to Locked, ending the remaining active sessions.

If the media server is set to Pending Lock before the upgrade maintenance window, the Avaya Aura® MS ends a minimum number of user sessions.
