Initializing the AIDE database

Last Updated : Sep 09, 2019 |

About this task

Before running a file system integrity check, the database must be initialized. The initialization step provides a baseline to determine if there are changes applied to the file system. This is required after installing updates, to either the media server or the system layer, or making configuration changes, because the database needs to be updated to create a new baseline.

Procedure

  1. Log in to a Linux® shell using the customer account.
  2. To initialize or update the AIDE database, type the following command:
    fsit -updateDB
