Example 2
A customer currently has System Manager 10.2.x on VMware and wants to migrate to System Manager 10.2.x on Avaya Solutions Platform 6.0 on KVM. The customer also wants to upgrade the System Manager operating system to RHEL 8.10 after migrating to the KVM platform.
The customer must first collect all System Manager 10.2 IP and naming information and back up System Manager from the host.
The customer can then deploy the System Manager 10.2 KVM OVA using the IP and naming information collected earlier. They must be on the exact same version of System Manager 10.2.x from which they took the backup.
The customer can then perform the restore of the backup taken from the VmWare-based System Manager deployment.
Next, the customer can Upgrade the System Manager to 10.2.1.0 or a higher release.
Once the System Manager is on 10.2.1.0 or a higher release, they can then perform the System Manager operating system migration from RHEL 8.4 to RHEL 8.10.
