Use this procedure to establish a SSH connection between S8300E Server and a Media Gateway processor on the same backplane LAN when IP forwarding is disabled.
Run ping 169.254.1.11 or traceroute 169.254.1.11.
Obtain the admin password from the customer.
Log in to the dom0 shell using admin credentials.
Run service_port_access disable or ip_forwarding enable command.
Log out of dom0.
Use SSH <BGW login>@169.254.1.11 to connect to the gateway.
