The standard IP Office virtual machine image assumes four CPUs, 3072 MB RAM and a 100 GB hard disk (see Default virtual machine). However, you must adjust the resources allocated to meet the intended role of the virtual machine and to optimize the use of the virtual server platform's available resources, especially if it is supporting multiple virtual machines.

The IP Office virtual machine requirements are outlined in the following pages. Depending on the type of virtual server, the stage at which these can be adjusted may vary.
