J100 web UI overview

Last Updated : Apr 01, 2026 |
Avaya J100 Series IP Phones support a web server that enables remote access to the phone configuration. Use a computer browser to access the web UI. Use the web UI to perform the following actions:
  • Configuring the phone parameters.

  • Viewing the phone configuration.

  • Importing and exporting configuration files.

  • Upgrading the phone software through your computer.

  • Downloading the phone report to your computer.

The web UI has the following tabs that contain logically-grouped configuration parameters:

  • Status

  • Network

  • IP Configuration

  • QoS

  • Web Server

  • SIP

  • Settings

  • Date & Time

  • Management

  • Password

  • Debugging

  • Certificates

  • Environment Settings

  • Display Settings

  • Exchange

  • Multicast Paging

  • Key Configuration

  • Softkey Sets

  • Restart

  • Reset to Factory Default

Note:
Various parameters are marked with one (*) or two (**) asterisks to describe the phone restart behavior.
  • If you configure the parameters marked with one asterisk (*), press Save and restart the phone when you log out.

  • If you configure the parameters with two asterisks (**), press Save. The phone automatically restarts when you save the configuration.

The phone web interface displays a globe icon against the parameter last modified through the web interface.

Phone configuration export

Export a snapshot of the phone configuration to a text file. The web UI exports the parameters with the non-default values and groups the parameters by their configuration source. The phone report includes the configuration export.

The exported file does not include the resource files or the parameters the phone saves with encryption, such as certificates or the user password.

The following is a sample of the exported file below:
