Guest Login configuration

Use the 46xxsettings file to set the following parameters:

Specifies whether the Guest Login feature is available to users.

The options are the following:

  • 0: The feature is not available.

  • 1: The feature is available.

Note:

This parameter is not supported by Avaya J129 IP Phone.

GUESTDURATION

Specifies the duration in hours before the idle phone automatically logs out a Guest Login or a Visiting User Login.

Valid values are integers from 1 to 12.

Note:

This parameter is not supported by Avaya J129 IP Phone.

GUESTWARNING

Specifies the number of minutes, before time specified by GUESTDURATION, that the phone displays an automatic log off warning for the Guest or Visiting User.

Valid values are integers from 1 to 15.

Note:

This parameter is not supported by Avaya J129 IP Phone.

ALLOW_GUEST_SESSION_PERSISTENCE

0

Specifies whether a Guest Login session continues after the phone reboots.

This parameter controls the behavior of the phone when a guest user is logged in and the phone reboots. Depending on the configuration you set, the phone either restores the Guest Login session or logs in the primary user.

The options are the following:

  • 0: Do Not Allow (Default). After the reboot, the phone does not restore the Guest Login session. Instead, it automatically logs in the primary user.

  • 1: Allow. If a guest user had logged in before the reboot, the phone restores the Guest Login session upon restart. The phone resumes the session with the correct remaining duration.

Note:

This parameter is not applicable to SSO Guest Login.

PHONE_LOCK_GUEST_LOGIN

Specifies whether a guest user can log in to a phone when the primary user has locked it.

The primary user can lock the phone by pressing the Lock soft key or when the PHONE_LOCK_IDLETIME expires.

The options are the following:

  • 0: Disable (Default). The guest user cannot log in to a locked phone.

  • 1: Enable. The guest user can log in to a locked phone

Note:

This setting is available only if GUESTLOGINSTAT is set to 1.

This parameter is not supported by Avaya J129 IP Phone.
