Sets the IPSec encapsulation mode. Use no mode to return the value to the default encapsulation mode, which is tunnel mode.

Transport mode cannot be used unless the remote VPN peer supports Transport mode and is configured to use it.

Syntax

[no] mode {tunnel | transport}

Parameter	Description	Possible Values	Default Value
tunnel	Keyword specifying the IPSec VPN tunnel mode. This is the default setting.
transport	Keyword specifying the IPSec VPN transport mode. Specify this mode only for a GRE tunnel.
