Before you begin
  • You must enable SSH public key authentication.
  • You must generate SSH key pair on Linux or Windows.
  • You must download public key to Branch Gateway.
  1. Create a Putty session by specifying the IP address, Port, and SSH type.
    • Host Name (or IP address): 192.168.1.20
    • Port: 22
    • Connection type: SSH
  3. Select Connection/Data. Enter the Branch Gateway username associated with the key.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    Auto-login username: root
  4. Select Connection/SSH/Auth/Credentials tab. Select Putty private key file (or use Pagent to load the private key).
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    Private key file for authentication: C:\bg1-root-key.ppk
  5. Select Session and Save the profile. Select Open to open the SSH session and enter password for the private key if necessary.
