Avaya Wireless DECT supports several base station variants. They differ in aerial connection, the number of simultaneous calls supported and how they connect to the DECT system. Normally, during installation, one of the base stations is configured as the master base station for the whole Avaya Wireless DECT system. Remaining base stations are then configured as slave base stations.

The availability of particular base stations variants depends on the country of operation.
