The following changes have been made for Avaya Wireless DECT support:

IP Office Release 12.2

  • Maximum DECT IP base station capacity increased

    With Avaya Wireless DECT R5, the maximum IP base station capacity has increased from 256 to 1000.

  • Avaya Wireless DECT R5 firmware

    The Avaya Wireless DECT R5 firmware is now included as part of the IP Office administration software installation package.

IP Office Release 12.1 SP1

  • Support for R5 firmware

    IP Office supports Avaya Wireless DECT running R5 firmware.

  • Maximum DECT extension capacity increased on Linux-based systems

    With Avaya Wireless DECT R5, the maximum DECT extension capacity on a Linux-based IP Office primary and secondary servers has increased from 750 to 1500.

    • The overall extension capacity, including DECT and non-DECT extensions, must still remain within the extension capacity of the individual IP Office system and the IP Office solution.

IP Office Release 11.1.3 SP1

  • 3755/3759 Phone Support

    IP Office supports these new models of 3700 Series phones.

IP Office Release 11.1 FP2 SP2

  • Base Station Location Information

    Base stations can be configured with location ID's that match locations configured on the IP Office system. This allows the appropriate location emergency ARS and address settings to be applied when a DECT extensions makes an emergency call. See Using IP Office Locations with Avaya Wireless DECT Base Stations.

IP Office Release 11.0

  • Maximum DECT Extension Capacity Increased on Linux-Based Systems

    For Avaya Wireless DECT systems linked to a Linux-based server, the maximum Avaya Wireless DECT extension capacity has increased from 384 to 750. The maximum limit on IP500 V2 systems (including Server Edition expansions) remains at 384.

  • Maximum Base Stations Capacity Increased

    The maximum number of base stations supported in a Avaya Wireless DECT system connected to IP Office has been increased from 128 to 256.

  • Compact Base Station Capacity Limitations Removed

    The previous maximum limit of 5 compact base stations has been removed. Any mix of compact and non-compact base stations is supported up to the overall base station limit above. Note that base station mirroring between a compact and non-compact base stations is still not supported.
