This section covers the use of the device management to:

Update the firmware on the phones.
Apply customized features templates to the phones.
- The use of the Device Management Application to load templates is not supported for systems installed and maintained using IP Office provisioning mode. In that mode, the IP Office automatically applies settings that match those detailed in IP Office User Features.

There are two variants of the device management application that you can use:

AIWS Device Manager

This version of device manager is embedded on the AIWS unit and accessed using a browser. You can use the AIWS device manager to load files to DECT handsets over the air.
WinPDM (Windows Portable Device Manager)

This version of the device manager application is installable as a Windows PC application. You can use this application to load files onto a DECT handset whilst the handset is in an advanced charger (a charger with a USB and/or LAN port).
