Note:
If an IP DECT Gateway is being installed, Avaya recommends configuring the IP DECT Gateway as the master base station for the system. For information on installing an IP DECT Gateway, see IP DECT Gateway Installation.
Important:
For IP Office Release 10.0 and higher, IPBS1 base stations are only supported as slave radio base stations. IPBS1 base stations are no longer supported in other roles, for example as master base stations. For systems being upgraded, any existing IPBS1 base station being used in a non-slave role must first be replaced in that role with an IPBS2/IPBS3 or IPBL1.
