Shared control

With the Shared control feature, you can use Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App to access several call-related features of your phone. Use the same user account on Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App and the phone to share control of call operations. In the shared control mode, you can use Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App to do the following:

  • Make a call

  • Answer a call

  • Hold and resume a call

  • End a call

You can enable pairing of the soft client and the phone from the Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App. For more information about pairing the device and using the soft client for call operations, see Avaya Cloud Office documentation.

Note:

During the Shared control mode, the Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App does not display the call operations you perform on the phone.

During the Shared control mode, if you enable the Call forward feature on your phone, you cannot use Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App to make a call.
