Copying a report

Last Updated : May 31, 2024 |

About this task

You can use the Copy option to duplicate a report in the Designer category of the same report type. For example, if you create a copy of a historical report, you can save the copy in the Designer category specifically designated for historical reports. This functionality enables you to create copies of any report type.

When you copy a report, use one of the following two options to save a copy:

  • Save to Device: CMS Supervisor Web stores a local copy on your device, which you can later upload to the CMS server.

  • Save Report: CMS Supervisor Web stores a copy of the report on the CMS server in the designer folder of the respective report category: Realtime, Historical, or Integrated.

Note:
  • By default, Web designer reports are in .report files. You can upload these reports to the CMS server using the CMS Supervisor Web client.

  • By default, PC designer reports are in .rep files. You can upload these reports to the CMS server using the Supervisor PC client. To use a PC designer report in CMS Supervisor Web, migrate it to the web designer report format after it has been uploaded.

You can change the file extension for the reports if required.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the CMS Supervisor Web.
  2. On the CMS Supervisor Web home page, select Reports.
  3. On the Reports page, select one of the designer categories from the list of reports, to access the report.
