Preferred Edition mode is supported on IP500 V2 controls units. Preferred Edition builds on Essential Edition features by adding:

• Support for features controlled by user profile licenses.

• Support for voicemail provided by either embedded voicemail or Voicemail Pro.

• Essential Edition licenses are a prerequisite for Preferred Edition.

• Preferred Edition is not a pre-requisite for running an IP500 V2 control unit in any of the other IP Office modes it can support.

• In addition to a Preferred Edition licenses as below, the Preferred Edition system may also require additional trunk, IP extension, user, and voicemail licenses depending on the required capacity.

• In a multi-site network, the Preferred Edition license of the central system is automatically shared with other systems in the network, enabling user profile licenses on those other systems. However, each system supporting a Voicemail Pro server requires its own Preferred Edition license for Voicemail Pro operation.

• The Preferred Edition license includes support for 4 voicemail ports. The total number of messaging ports supported can be increased by adding additional voicemail port licenses.

• R10+ licenses can be used with R10.0 and higher systems. Other licenses are R12.0 specific licenses.
