Various features, applications and IP Office operating modes require the system to have the appropriate entitlement or entitlements. This can be done using either licenses or subscriptions.
Licenses |
Licenses are purchased from Avaya and then uploaded to the IP Office system as a file. This method is supported for all IP Office modes except subscription mode.

Subscriptions |
For IP Office Subscription mode, the IP Office system is configured with the address of an internet subscription service provided by Avaya. The system regularly connects to the service in order to check what subscriptions have been purchased for the system.
