The core IP Office service is supported on a dedicated set of modular hardware referred to as IP500 V2. This provides ports for connecting a variety of non-IP trunks and extensions.
IP500 V2 systems can run in Basic Edition, Essential Edition and Preferred Edition modes.
For services other than the core IP Office service, the IP500 V2 can be supported by another server. For example:
A UCM module installed in the IP500 V2. The module can run the Voicemail Pro and one-X Portal services.
A separate PC, called an IP Office Application server, can run the Voicemail Pro, Avaya one-X Portal and Media Manager services.
IP500 V2 systems can also be used in a IP Office Server Edition or Select server network to provide support for non-IP extensions and lines.
