Adding a task

About this task

As you design your workflow, drag and drop the various tasks onto the canvas.

On the Designer palette, click a task to add to the workflow and drag the task to its correct location on the canvas.
Double-click the task.

Orchestration shows the Properties pane.
To replace the default value for the label, in the Label field, type a unique name for the task.

The Label field can contain only alphanumeric characters.
To replace the default description for the task, in the Add short description field, type a description.
Enter values for the task properties as required for different tasks.
In the Properties pane, click Save.
To connect the StartTask or preceding task to this one, do the following:
1. Select the StartTask or the preceding task.
2. Click the blue dot and drag it to this task.
Orchestration connects the tasks with an arrow.
