During add and edit profile operations, based on the selection of the Create New Profile if it doesn't exist for the user check box and the availability of the communication profile, System Manager provides the following:

You cannot update the existing communication profile.
The profile remains unchanged.

The system creates the communication profile.
The profile remains unchanged.

Exists
The communication profile that is already created remains unchanged.
The system updates the communication profile based on the changes you make.

Does not exist
No change because you have not selected the check box.
No change. You cannot update a communication profile that does not exist.
